A highly frustrating breakfast experience with my family. We booked, and managed to renegotiate an outside table after initially being allocated an inferior inside table.
We were left without so much as a nod of acknowledgment for the first five minutes of our arrival. We were then told ‘we’re not taking any walk-ins’ and had to explain we’d booked.
Our waitress immediately rushed to our table and told us we needed to order ASAP as breakfast was finishing, this despite our daughter being in the bathroom. My son asked if he could have an ice coffee, we were told they were ‘too busy’.
Food took around 50 minutes to arrive, we were not told at any point that there was a long wait for food. When it arrived, the food was good but not exceptional, and didn’t really make up for the extremely unsatisfactory service. We felt like a minor inconvenience for the majority of our visit, a real shame.
It is obvious to me that our waitress was being put under considerable stress by management, that stress was then passed on to us. Maybe management should look into how they deal with their staff and the ordering process during busy times.

I visited as a suggestion from the hotel receptionist, and I am so glad I came, ordered the Picard and chips it was brilliant, I even had to request a small glass of melbac to wash it down.
Highly recommend, I know I will be back again.

Went for a valentine's day meal.... Amazing food I absolutely loved the steak and Guinness pie , amazing views out to sea. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Great decor, the toilets were clean and modern.
Couldn't ask for more really.
Definitely coming back here again.

We came here on a whim and I’m so glad we did. The food was so delicious and the staff were friendly. We had a lovely time here. We came during the cold weather but we will definitely be back in the summer and we look forward to it

Lovely place to sit and eat. I had the English breakfast which was very good. came out hot and the sausages were local not mass produced, this in my opinion makes or breaks a meal. Coffee tasted good and service was attentive but not overbearing. All in all a very nice place to eat,drink and chat..many thanks 😊.

I'm Italian and I've been living in the UK for almost 10 years now and this is one of the best places I've had a good coffee. The staff is super efficient and very kind. I hope I still have the chance to come back. Local and toilet very clean! Never change, you're perfect! 🤩
P. S. By the way, one of the few places where there is a toilet! 😅

Great surroundings with superb views.
Unfortunately the food didn't match. I had a Steak & Guinness pie with sauteed veg & mash. The pie was tasty enough but so dry,no gravy at all. As for the veg, they were simply and overly boiled without taste.
There were plenty of waiting staff,but hardly bothered checking tables, we had to go to them for a jug of gravy or a dessert menu,which incidentally was given to us and not followed up,again we had to go and ask for the bill instead of anyone even noticing.
This was an overpriced, underwhelming meal with little service for the price.
Left disappointed!!

We decided to stop at ocean beach after a lovely walk along the seafront. We were seated at a table with a lovely view and were offered drinks straight away which arrived quickly.
We had one vegan in our party but when we looked at the menu there were no indications as to what was vegan or vegetarian. When we asked our waiter about vegan options we were told that it wasn’t that kind of establishment which was a bit of a surprise. We decided to stay as the vegan in our party was fine with just chips and bread which they ordered. She asked for flora or vegetable spread on the bread instead of butter but was told that this wasn’t an option so ordered plain bread. Before the waiter left he told us that there were falafels available but we declined.
The rest of the food was very good and service was quick but we will not be returning until something is done about the food options. Why would any restaurant not cater for vegans? It’s so simple just to put a vegan burger on the menu or an arrabbiata.
